Starting with an initial consultation, Kate produces sketches and designs taking into consideration the space, light source, colour choice and any other client requirement. Following any modifications and on approval, Kate then produces a final life size design (cartoon) and commences the commission. Windows can incorporate painted designs using traditional paints, stains and enamels which are then fired in the kiln. Sandblasting can also be included if required.
Kate is happy to discuss client requests for repairs. Some repairs can be carried out ‘in-situ’ whilst others require the window to be removed in order for work to commence. If the window is old and the lead is broken, missing or bowed out, then it is likely that re-leading of the window will be required. Kate will endeavour to match any broken glass as closely as possible to the original.
“The colours are beautiful and vibrant and the fish show such detail. We have had so many positive comments on it. Thank you Kate, we are delighted to have discovered you!”
