Come and learn a new skill or improve on an old one.
Throughout the year, Kate offers both one day and two day stained glass courses at her studio.
Kate’s light and airy studio is fully equipped and is situated within the grounds of her home in the Somerset village of North Petherton which lies at the foot of the Quantock Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

COURSE DETAILS
On both the one day and two day courses, we start at 10am and finish at approximately 4.30pm. Students will learn the basics of stained glass making. We will cover the following;
* Health & Safety with glass
* How to cut glass
* Designing and making a pattern
* Cutting and fitting lead came
* Leading up
* Soldering
* Cementing
* Finishing and polishing
By the end of each of the courses students will have created their very own special stained glass panel to take home with them. The two day course allows students more flexibility and intricacy in the choice of their design.
WHAT TO BRING
All materials and equipment are provided.
You will need to wear closed in shoes and comfortable clothing. Bring along any ideas or sketches you have. A notepad and pen would be useful.
Come with enthusiasm, and a desire to create!

Both classes can accommodate up to 4 people at any one time in the studio.
Small numbers ensure that personal attention is given by Kate at all times and students are encouraged to allow their creativity to flow.

(includes all materials and refreshments. Students are asked to make arrangements for lunch or bring a packed lunch)
